Coffee body scrub is a simple way to use ingredients you have easy access to, and may even already have in your home, to elevate a normal shower to spa status. The protective antioxidant benefits of coffee also extend to the skin.
The caffeine in coffee stimulates blood flow to the area, making your skin appear radiant and bright. It can also help reduce inflammation and swelling, resulting in a skin-tightening effect.
Revive your tired skin with this invigorating caffeinated exfoliator. The antioxidant-rich coffee grounds and warming cinnamon stimulate blood flow, while the skin-soothing coconut oil moisturizes, resulting in a scrub that will give you smoother, firmer skin instantly.
Coffee Body Scrub with Coconut Oil Recipe
½ cup brewed coffee grounds
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup sugar ( brown)
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
¼ cup melted coconut oil
Mix together the coffee grounds, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and melted oil in a small bowl to create a spreadable paste. Transfer to a lidded glass jar.
To use: While standing in the shower, scrub the exfoliating mixture all over your body, paying extra attention to possible problem areas. Rinse well. For a truly pampering experience, pour 1 cup of room-temperature pure coconut milk all over your body after applying the scrub. Luxuriate before rinsing off the scrub with warm water. Store in its sealed glass jar in the refrigerator.
Coffee Body Scrub with honey
1 cup of fresh organic coffee grounds
1/2 cup of Organic Coconut Oil
1 tbsp of Manuka Honey
1 cup of sea salt
Combine the ingredients in a bowl and stir well. As this scrub is pretty messy, apply it to damp skin in the shower using circular movements, then wash it off with warm water. Once you’ve showered, make sure you moisturize within five minutes (when your skin’s still damp) to lock in moisture for soft, hydrated skin.
DIY: Coffee Body Scrub with ginger Recipe
Ginger is warming to the skin and increases blood circulation. This helps bring nutrients into the skin and remove old toxins, leaving your skin feeling completely rejuvenated.
1 cup organic coffee grounds
1 cup organic sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon fresh-grated or ground ginger
Mix coffee grounds, sugar and ginger until well blended. Stir in coconut oil (melt the oil first if needed). Store in an airtight glass jar.
How you use your coffee body scrub.
To get optimal results, massage a few tablespoons of your coffee scrub into your legs and torso for 3-5 minutes. Concentrate on each area and massage as deeply as you comfortably can.
